Darrell Brosius served in the US Army in Europe during the Vietnam Era. After
his Service, he held the position of Strategic Planner for Wetterau Foods,
Inc. While studying construction technology at IUPUI, Mr. Brosius held
positions such as architectural draftsman for Burnet-Binford Lumber, Vice
President of Creative Industries Inc. & Vice President of Bank Consultants
Inc. for all of Indianapolis. While there, he designed and built more than 20 branch
bank facilities in several states. Mr. Brosius was also a minor partner in Nexus
Development, Inc.
For 5 years, Mr. Brosius served as project manager for Lee & Urbahns Company,
where he worked on Stone Bridge, Raceway Plaza, Shiloh Farms & Fortune Park
West.
He later co-founded Newland Resources, LLC which created, then sold, Plainfield
Park. Mr. Brosius also served as a waste water consultant for The Reynolds
Group and was involved in the creation & development of a waste water district,
and treatment facility.
In 1997, Mr. Brosius served as a founding member of Commercial First, LLC, a commercial
real estate firm, but has since sold his interest in the firm to the remaining founding
members.
Mr. Brosius founded (with Paul Mosier) MBA, LLC, which developed the 140 acre site for
Qualitech Steel Corporation in Pittsboro, Indiana (now a Steel Dynamics facility). In
2000, Mr. Brosius and Paul Mosier joined with Dan Muehlenbein to form Turner Trace, LLC.,
to develop the Village of Turner Trace, a true TND community that includes 175,000 sq. ft.
of retail & office space, 48 elegant townhomes and 188 single family residences.
Also in 2000, together with his wife Rita, Mr. Brosius founded First Estate, LLC a real
estate sales & marketing company. Currently, in addition to his duties at The Village
of Turner Trace, and at First Estate, LLC, Mr. Brosius is proud to represent Hansen and
Horn home builders.
In his personal life, Mr. Brosius has been active in leadership at Abiding Faith Lighthouse,
where he served as an usher, church secretary and a home group pastor.
Mr. Brosius is a Realtor, and a member of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors
(MIBOR). He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Indiana Builders Association
(IBA), and the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis (BAGI) where he has served as a
State Director for the years 2004, 2005 & 2006.
